Johns awarded for best student paper
Cognitive science PhD student Brendan Johns recently won the Castellan Award for Best Student Paper at the Society for Computers in Psychology Annual Conference in Boston. The 39th annual meeting was held in Boston.
Johns received his bachelor’s degree in computing science and cognitive science from Queen’s University. He currently works in Michael Jones’ Cognitive Computing Laboratory. Johns’ interests are in the area of learning and memory, computational models of cognition, and intelligent systems for knowledge abstraction in large textbases.
