Technical Support Group-IT Team
Each member of the IT team is able to help with your computer and technology questions and the sometimes vexing problems that occur when dealing with software and hardware. To get support with computing, software or network problems, click here.
Your request will be assigned to a team member. By going through our help system, we are able to track requests and facilitate workflow among our team members. Please note that the same request/tracking system also allows you to enter requests for the electronics shop and the mechanical and wood shops.
Physical Plant Service Requests
You can use the online service request form and find contact information for the Physical Plant on their website. For routine services, please contact the Technical Support Group director before contacting Physical Plant.
Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences faculty, staff and students may use the poster printer in room 135 to print their own posters and charge the cost to a departmental account. Instructions for how to use the printer are posted in the room. See a staff member in the Clinic main office for more information. The Information Commons Student Technology Center in Wells Library also has a large format printer that can be used to print posters for a fee.
For those who wish to use PowerPoint, two IU Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences poster templates have been created that matches the appearance of our department's website. Click the thumbnails above to access the PowerPoint templates. If you're affiliated with the department, and you're currently developing a poster, consider using one of these templates; it'll help support our reputation as a unified high-quality institution.
More advanced designers may be interested in using Adobe InDesign. You can download our brief tutorial with instructions on how to download and use this program. This document also contains resources available at IU for learning more about Adobe software.
Presentation technology in Psychology Building classrooms is managed by Classroom Technology Services (CTS). If you are experiencing issues with any of the multimedia equipment or display devices, contact CTS at (812)855-8765.
Some conference rooms in the Psychology Building are scheduled and reserved internally, using the Meeting Room Booking System. You must use this online system to reserve rooms 124, 128, 226, 228, 230, A213, and 287. If you need to reserve any other IUB classroom, contact classroom scheduling at (812)855-2489.
IU's Student Technology Center (STC) labs are also available for reservation using STC's Request System. This same request system can also be used if an instructor needs a software title to be installed in IU computer labs.
The assignment of Undergraduate Teaching Assistants (UTAs) is managed by the department's Assistantship Committee, and assignments are usually announced 2-3 weeks before the start of each semester. Undergraduate students who are interested in becoming UTAs need to fill-out an application to enroll in P356 Teaching Internship.
