Sean is a Ph.D. student in Clinical Science and Neuroscience, mentored by Dr. Alexandra Moussa-Tooks. He graduated in 2020 with a BS in Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Master’s degree in Human Development Counseling (Clinical) in 2024. During this time, Sean gained experience working in clinical and research settings, including as a graduate research assistant in the Department of Psychiatry at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Sean is interested in utilizing neuroimaging methods (e.g., fMRI/MRI/ASL) to examine the effects of aberrant neurodevelopment (especially in cerebellar growth) on psychomotor functioning and symptom severity across the psychosis spectrum. In this context, he is also interested in exploring the role of cerebellar-cortical connectivity in symptom onset and presentation. Outside of the lab, Sean enjoys spending time in nature, playing video games, and watching sports!
