If you are interested in applying for the Clinical Psychological Science Certificate program, you must have a 3.0 GPA or higher in your major. Pre-requisite courses for entrance to the program include Introductory Psychology and Statistical Techniques with a grade of C+ or higher. You may apply during the semester you are taking Statistical Techniques; conditional admittance may be granted pending completion of the course with a C+ or higher.
For the application, you must submit:
- A 1-2 page resume and a letter of intent describing your interest in the program.
- Previous work experience (volunteer, paid employment, etc.) and career goals, which must include the relevance of the certificate to those goals.
- A copy of your unofficial Academic Advising Report (AAR) verifying your current major GPA. Note: Be sure to hit “expand all” at the top of the report.
Interviews may be conducted with finalists to determine admittance. We will select students based on a combination of GPA, demonstrated interest in the certificate, appropriate prior work experience, and career goals that align with the priorities of the certificate program.
Note: This certificate does not lead to a license to practice professional psychology or other related field.
