Each year, PBS presents two staff recognition honors: the Audrey Newcomb and David Garraghty Staff Award and the Lana Gayle Fish Award. The Garraghty Award honors individuals who consistently go "above and beyond" to support the department's faculty, staff, and students. The Fish Award honors those who embody the qualities of its namesake. As Human Research Coordinator from 1994 to 2021, Lana was a principled, deeply empathetic colleague who made everyone feel valued.
