Funds you can support

Psychology and Brain Sciences General Fund

Innovative, cutting-edge, multifaceted and highly successful organizations must remain nimble and responsive to both new opportunities and pressing needs. Our General Fund provides discretionary funding for this exact purpose.

Lana Gayle Fish Psychological and Brain Sciences Staff Support Fund

This fund was created in honor of dearly beloved, long-time Human Resources Coordinator, Lana Fish, specifically to support PBS staff. Our goal is to raise at least $25,000, which is the minimum necessary to endow the funds. The funds raised will go towards the following types of support for PBS staff members: Providing salary performance bonuses; Professional development, such as workshops, conferences, membership dues; General support of staff

Undergraduate Scholarship Fund

We currently offer the most popular undergraduate degrees in the College of Arts and Sciences, serving nearly 1,700 majors. Both our department and our students benefit when we enable our top, most deserving students to focus more fully on scholarship and research without financial worries.

Graduate Fellowship Fund

These resources for research, teaching, and training give us a more competitive edge in bringing the best graduate students to the department. We currently need to increase existing fellowship lines to be competitive with other world-class graduate programs.

Kenneth Heller Minority Student Support Fund

Professor Emeritus Ken Heller matches funds for any gift given to this fund, which supports awards, fellowships, scholarships, or support for minority students. Recipients are American citizens from minority groups who are underrepresented in the psychology profession, with a preference to students who show a strong identification with their cultural group or who are planning research careers in their culture of origin.

Women in Science Fund

Women are still underrepresented in scientific and technological fields. The Women in Science Fund supports research, teaching, and scholarship in psychological science, with preference given to activities by women and/or about women.

Psychological and Brain Sciences Technology Support Fund

This fund enables PBS to keep pace with technological advances by supporting the general technology needs of PBS faculty and student research and teaching.
