This fund enables PBS to keep pace with technological advances by supporting the general technology needs of PBS faculty and student research and teaching.
Former graduate student and staff member Jerry Forshee retired from PBS after 44 years of making significant contributions to the department, working to improve its technology, finances, facilities, labs, classrooms, computing clusters, and the new building addition. When he and his wife drew up their estate plan they decided to create this fund, ensuring the technological future of the department.
As Jerry explains it, the gift is an act of gratitude—one that reflects his determination to help PBS stay on the cutting edge of scientific achievement.
