Human factors and ergonomics involves the study of human abilities and limitations to design systems, organizations, jobs, machines, tools, and consumer products for safe, efficient, and comfortable human use. This course introduces students to the broad field of human factors psychology, including user-machine-environment interaction, ergonomics, task analysis, human information processing, design of displays and controls, anthropometrics and the effects of some environmental variables on human performance.
