Course Goal: The goal of the course is to acquaint you with the field of relationship science through media, readings, lectures, and assignments. This is an introductory course. As such, you will receive a taste of a number of different important topics within the study of close, intimate relationships. You'll discover that the term "relationships" covers a great deal of diverse subject matter. My hope is that you will not only learn more about how relationships work and why they are a critical aspect of human existence, but also may apply what you learn in class to better understand the relationships in your own life. Course Format: This course meets three days a week. On Mondays and Wednesdays, you will be presented with lectures focusing on key aspects of relationship science from your textbook and supplemented with other relevant material. On Fridays, you will either (1) actively discuss in groups a provided topic from lecture and/or the textbook and complete a brief written reflection, or (2) take a quiz over the previous two chapters.
